Got 'em

We are officially true rednecks! Josh shot a deer this weekend. Yee haw! I felt really bad because he was sick all weekend with a fever and chills, and then he shot one on Sat. and felt a lot better after that. It was quite exciting and Jaxon thought it was the coolest thing in the world! He wanted to take the antlers to show and tell at preschool. Well, they weren't completely dry so maybe next week..... So on Tue. it got all cut up and packaged and into the freezer . Excellent! So if anyone has any good recipes let me know. So that was the excitement for the Bryner Family! Well and on the blog yeah I know it's kind of ghetto Sorry Josh is supposed help me figure out a few things but hasn't yet so bare with me for a little while. I do want to make it better for those of you out there reading this

Hey Becky, Its Stacey Corbin - I got to your blog via Rachel and Mike's. Welcome to the Red neck life! Next step is processing the meat your self. Josh will start out doing it himself and then he'll just need your help for a sec. and before ya know it your up to your elbows in deer or elk or whatever season it is! Welcome to the Hunting Widows Club!

Beki, I have some fantastic recipes for deer. They take out the gamey taste, and my whole family loves them. Let me know if you want them and I will e-mail them to you. We have a roast recipe that we use to make Cafe Rio Salads with! Yummy! I'm jealous you guys got a deer. We haven't seen anything in years!

Did Josh shoot it or did Jaxson break it's neck?

Hey Beki -
It's Jon & Jessica from GA. Mitchell just shot his first buck and then a few days later his first doe! We have most of it ground and use it instead of hamburger meat. Lasagna, Spaghetti, Tacos, Meatloaf... saves a ton of money on grocery day!
Mike sent us your link and showed us how to do a blog for Mima keep in touch.
